CASA was formed to academically and socially prepare children, adolescents, and adults of underserved communities to succeed in school and the world at large.
CASA is a San Diego, California-based not-for-profit organization imparting an innovative community technology curriculum deployed at six sites across urban and rural San Diego County. The curriculum builds on the power of children in underserved communities to learn through engagement in a magical adventure world that is accessed through interactive computer games. CASA also provides access to technology and telecommunication resources otherwise not available to economically disadvantaged communities. In partnership with the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and other community organizations, CASA creates learning environments where children and adults can comfortably use their language and culture as critical intellectual tools. CASA's curriculum currently translates into four bilingual educational offerings that ensure a lifespan approach to learning. Each of theses offerings addresses a specific educational level, and employs distinctive computer-based learning technologies.

- Mi Clase Mágica (MCM) serves children ages 3-5. It introduces pre-school and Kindergarten children to basic computer skills, letters, numbers, and geometric figures.
- La Clase Mágica (LCM) targets 5 to 12 year old children. Educational software and on-line activities with the project's electronic entity supplement and reinforce school-related skills--such as literacy, math, and science.
- Wizard Assistant Club (WA Club) engages long-term participants, ages 12 to17 years, and offers high-end technology activities and college admissions workshops. As project experts, WA's assist with site operations, conduct orientations for undergraduates, and serve as ambassadors of the project at conferences, community meetings, and university courses.
- La Gran Dimensión (LGD) offers bilingual adults opportunities to use information technology to interact with mainstream institutions. Adults learn basic computer skills to use the Internet and computer software for personal or work-related activities.
- Los Promotores offers opportunities to become involved in activities ranging from short term visits to the sites to more organized activities such as the opportunity to join the staff. The Promotores support the site through fund raising, assisting on-site, and acquiring and distributing information on the project, the school system, and higher education admissions
