La Clase Mágica, Since 1989
The original site of LCM, is located in a low income sector of the affluent city of Solana Beach. This site serves the educational needs of the predominantly Latino 5-16 year-old children and adolescents residing in the area.
Mi Clase Mágica, Since 2000
MCM at St. Leo’s Mission serves an average of 70 children enrolled in Head Start, a federally funded child development program that serves children ages 3-5 and their families. MCM sessions run concurrently with the Head Start Program in order for children to receive individual attention for significant periods of time and to further enhance the skills they are developing at home and in the classroom.
Hubs of Innovation, Beginning Fall 2009
St. Leo’s Mission will host the Digital Literacy hub of the new Hubs of Innovation project.
